• Ability to care for students in the absence of the school nurse 
• Supervise and provide medical care on the medical bus for students
• Per diem and/or Medical bus supervision

Per-Diem Substitute Teachers available. Candidate must be secondary certified.

Post student teaching experience for individuals who are already placed in Bellmore-Merrick CHSD

• Create lesson plans, assignments, and curriculum for each student, and ensure they meet state guidelines
• Provide direct and indirect instruction to students in a variety of settings, including at home, in a classroom, or in a library
• Prepare students for required assessments, and conduct formal and informal assessments of student progress
• Create a positive environment, and meet students' individual needs
• Help students reach their educational goals, and mentor them
• Communicate concerns with administration and/or school teacher

• Use lectures, videos, worksheets, and textbooks to teach students about driving laws, decision-making, and defensive driving techniques 
• Assess student progress and provide feedback on areas for improvement 

• Maintain a high level of vigilance and awareness
• Verify and vet all visitors to the school
• Provide assistance during emergency situations and/or drills
• Collaborate with other security aides, administration, and teachers to ensure a safe environment
• Complete indoor and outdoor perimeter checks periodically

• Assist with the preparation of school breakfasts and lunches for students
• Ensure a clean and organized kitchen and lunchroom
• Available to work in any of the 5 buildings in the District

• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing all areas of a school building
• Availability during day and evening shifts preferred
• Available to work in any of the 5 buildings in the district
