The ideal candidate will foster students’ proficiency in Spanish while supporting cultural awareness and communication skills. Dual certification in Italian or French is preferred. Responsibilities include: Teaching Spanish courses to middle school students Developing and implementing standards-based, engaging lesson plans Promoting cultural understanding and language proficiency Integrating technology and interactive activities to enhance learning Assessing student progress and providing timely feedback Collaborating with colleagues, administration, and support staff to support student learning
Probationary School Counselor (Middle School)		Probationary School Counselor (Middle School) Location: Grand Avenue Middle School District: Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District The Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District is seeking a probationary Middle School Counselor for a vacancy at Grand Avenue Middle School. The successful candidate will support students’ academic and social-emotional development while collaborating with faculty, administration, and families to promote student success. Responsibilities include: Providing individual and group counseling to middle school students Supporting students’ academic planning and transition to high school Assisting with scheduling and monitoring student progress Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and support staff to address student needs Communicating with families and facilitating referrals to outside services when appropriate Participating in building-based support teams and student support initiatives
Science: Middle School Science - Leave Replacement		Bellmore-Merrick CHSD is looking to fill a short-term leave replacement position for 7th grade science. The position consists of both grade level (including ICT) and honors courses. The anticipated start date is early May and will last through the end of the school year. *This is short-term leave replacement position.* *Salary = $140 a day for 6 weeks. After 6 weeks, salary is determined based on teacher's contract.*
