Candidates must have already taken the Typist Clerk exam with the Nassau County Civil Service Commission

-Provide exceptional student, teacher, and parent support, and respond to inquiries via phone, email, or in-person
- Utilize MS Office and Google Suite to create and maintain documents
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document management
- Manage office supplies and inventory, ensuring availability of necessary materials
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate person or department
- Maintain an organized calendar for scheduling appointments

• Ability to care for students in the absence of the school nurse 

• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed

• Provide care for students on a medical bus before school, after school, or during community trips

• Per diem and/or Medical bus supervision

Per-Diem Substitute Teachers available. Candidate must be secondary certified.

• Coach various sports in middle schools or high schools within the district

• Create lesson plans, assignments, and curriculum for each student, and ensure they meet state guidelines
• Provide direct and indirect instruction to students in a variety of settings, including at home, in a classroom, or in a library
• Prepare students for required assessments, and conduct formal and informal assessments of student progress
• Create a positive environment, and meet students' individual needs
• Help students reach their educational goals, and mentor them
• Communicate concerns with administration and/or school teacher

• Use lectures, videos, worksheets, and textbooks to teach students about driving laws, decision-making, and defensive driving techniques 
• Assess student progress and provide feedback on areas for improvement 

Duties:
- Extensive knowledge in the performance of repairing, troubleshooting and installation of refrigeration, plumbing  and/or HVAC systems

- Use of a variety of hand and power tools in construction and maintenance of school facilities
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner using a computerized work order system
- Snow removal as needed with the use of a plow truck
- Collaborate with other team members to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks efficiently

• Availability during day and evening shifts preferred
