Technology Teacher - Middle School02-04-25-1

The Bellmore-Merrick Central HS District is seeking a passionate and dynamic Middle School Technology Teacher (Grades 7-8).  The ideal candidate will have experience teaching middle school students and will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging lessons in coding, robotics, and other STEM-related topics. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an engaging and comprehensive technology curriculum

  • Encourage hands-on learning through project-based assignments.

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, ensuring an inclusive classroom environment.

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and integrate new tools and methodologies into the curriculum.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary STEM projects and initiatives.

  • Assess and monitor student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments.

  • Maintain an organized and safe learning environment, ensuring that technology and equipment are properly maintained.

  • Participate in school events, professional development, and extracurricular activities such as robotics clubs and coding competitions.

  • Provide direct and indirect instruction to students in a variety of settings, including at home, in a classroom, or in a library
