- Plan and deliver differentiated instruction that aligns with the curriculum and adapts to various learning styles and abilities.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and facilitate their understanding of the material
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and respect.
- Implement effective behavior management strategies to promote a safe and productive learning atmosphere.
- Monitor and document student behavior and progress, addressing any issues promptly and appropriately.
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, school psychologists, speech therapists, and other specialists to support student learning and development.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress, address concerns, and involve them in the educational process.
- Participate in CSE meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other relevant school events.
- Conduct formal and informal assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance, attendance, and IEP documentation.
