Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Assist the special education teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with developmental disabilities
- Support students in their academic, social, and emotional growth
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assist with classroom management and organization
- Support students with personal care needs, if required

Job Qualifications

Experience:
- Previous experience working with children, especially those with developmental disabilities, is preferred
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse learning needs and styles

Skills:
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals
- Patience and empathy when working with students who may have challenging behaviors or special needs
- Organizational skills to assist in maintaining a structured and supportive learning environment
