Part-Time High School Spanish Teacher (0.6 FTE)
District: Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District

The Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District is seeking a Part-Time High School Spanish Teacher (0.6 FTE) to provide engaging instruction to students in Spanish courses. The ideal candidate will promote language proficiency, cultural awareness, and communication skills. Dual certification in Italian or French is preferred.

Responsibilities include:

• Teaching Spanish courses at the high school level (0.6 FTE)
• Developing and implementing standards-based, engaging lesson plans
• Promoting cultural understanding and language proficiency
• Integrating technology and interactive activities to enhance learning
• Assessing student progress and providing timely feedback
• Collaborating with colleagues, administration, and support staff to support student success

Job Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State Spanish certification required
• Dual certification in Italian or French preferred
• Experience teaching high school language courses preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Start Date: Anticipated – August 26, 2026
