Teach middle school mathematics classes (grades 7–8), including daily instruction, lesson planning, assessments, and differentiation.
Maintain a supportive, engaging, and structured classroom environment.
Collaborate with grade-level and department colleagues to ensure consistency in curriculum and instruction.
Communicate regularly with students, families, and school staff regarding progress and expectations.
Support students with diverse learning needs and implement accommodations as required.
Fulfill standard professional responsibilities, including attending meetings, supervising activities, and contributing to the school community.
New York State Certification in Mathematics (7-12).
Strong knowledge of middle school math content and instructional best practices.
Demonstrated ability to connect with adolescents and build a positive classroom culture.
Effective communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
Prior teaching experience preferred; student teaching experience considered.
Salary is $140 per day for up to 6 weeks. After 6 consecutive weeks, pay will be based on teacher's contract (step) and candidate's educational credentials.
