Job Description

Reading Teacher

• Reading Certified with Orton-Gillingham training or certification preferred
• Appropriate NYS Certification Required (Literacy 5-12)

Job Qualifications

 

Responsibilities include:

• Provide individualized and small group reading instruction to middle or high school students who require targeted support
• Conduct assessments to identify students' reading strengths and weaknesses
• Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans based on students' individual needs
• Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and teachers
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure consistent support for students' literacy development
