Job Description

Duties:
- Extensive knowledge in the performance of repairing, troubleshooting and installation of refrigeration, plumbing  and/or HVAC systems

- Use of a variety of hand and power tools in construction and maintenance of school facilities
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner using a computerized work order system
- Snow removal as needed with the use of a plow truck
- Collaborate with other team members to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks efficiently

Job Qualifications

Skills:
- Knowledge of construction and maintenance materials and methods

- Ability to use tools effectively

- Ability to follow oral and written instructions

- Physical strength and agility

- Strong knowledge of general maintenance procedures and techniques
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various refrigeration and HVAC systems
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve maintenance issues
- Good communication skills to interact with staff and contractors effectively
- Attention to detail to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed accurately and thoroughly
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Must be fingerprinted as part of the onboarding process

Education or Training:

- Graduation from a vocational or trade school and/or
- One year of experience in performing routine maintenance tasks such as repairing/install refrigeration and HVAC systems
