Middle School Spanish Teacher
District: Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District

The Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District is seeking a Spanish Teacher to provide engaging language instruction to students at the middle school level. The ideal candidate will foster students’ proficiency in Spanish while supporting cultural awareness and communication skills. Dual certification in Italian or French is preferred.

Responsibilities include:

• Teaching Spanish courses to middle school students
• Developing and implementing standards-based, engaging lesson plans
• Promoting cultural understanding and language proficiency
• Integrating technology and interactive activities to enhance learning
• Assessing student progress and providing timely feedback
• Collaborating with colleagues, administration, and support staff to support student learning

Job Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State Spanish certification required
• Dual certification in Italian or French preferred
• Experience teaching middle school language courses preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Start Date: Anticipated – August 26, 2026
