Probationary Business Teacher (0.6 / 0.4 Split Position)
Locations: Sanford H. Calhoun High School and John F. Kennedy High School
District: Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District
The Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District is seeking a probationary Business Teacher for a position split between Sanford H. Calhoun High School (.6) and John F. Kennedy High School (.4). The successful candidate will deliver engaging instruction in business-related courses and support the development of students’ financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career readiness skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching a variety of high school and college level business courses
- Developing and delivering engaging, standards-based lessons
- Integrating technology and real-world applications into instruction
- Assessing student learning and providing timely feedback
- Collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development and program initiatives
- Supporting students’ exploration of business and career pathways
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Business and Marketing certification required
- Experience teaching high school business courses preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Start Date: Anticipated - August 26, 2026
