Responsibilities:

• Assist the special education teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with developmental disabilities

• Support students in their academic, social, and emotional growth

• Implement behavior management strategies to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment

• Assist with classroom management and organization

• Support students with personal care needs, if required

Job Qualifications

Experience:

• Previous experience working with children, especially those with developmental disabilities, is preferred
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse learning needs and styles

Skills:

• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals
• Patience and empathy when working with students who may have challenging behaviors or special needs
• Organizational skills to assist in maintaining a structured and supportive learning environment
