- Assess and evaluate students' health conditions and develop appropriate care plans - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers - Monitor and manage chronic health conditions, such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies - Provide health education and counseling to students, families, and staff - Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to promote a healthy school environment - Maintain accurate and confidential health records for students using the student management system - Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed
-Provide care for students on a medical bus - Coordinate with community healthcare providers for specialized services or referrals
- Valid RN license (NYS) - Knowledge of health coaching principles and techniques - Familiarity with medical equipment, such as durable medical equipment (DME) and AED - Proficiency in using electronic health record systems - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, staff, and healthcare professionals - Compassionate and student-centered approach to healthcare delivery
